Worldly Treasures: Gabriela Horvat
I was recently introduced to the jewelry of Gabriela Horvat.
I was stunned - she’s taking design to whole new level!
My one question is: why the flip can’t I find her pieces in New York City?
A little about Gabriela:
Coming from an artistic family,Gabriela Horvat works with different techniques and materials, she brings her childhood experiences into textiles works of jewelry. After playing with yarns and threads from her mother, an artist, she reconstructed recreations of her memories.
In 2008 she opened her own gallery/shop in Buenos Aires, a space devoted to exhibiting her own jewelry and other artist’s work.
“Each piece tells a feeling, a sensation, a deed… a smile”.
